My little cleaner

The other night I asked Abby to pick up her room before going to bed. Normally this request is followed by Abby saying something like, "can you help me" or "I can't do it by myself." Well, this night she began cleaning her room without any protest or requests for help. I was watching her clean up and she actually did a VERY good job. She had to find a spot for each of her dinosaurs and small polly pocket dolls. She kept saying, "hmm, where should this go? I have to find the perfect spot for it." She would put something away on her shelf, stand back to look at it, turn it a bit or move it over an inch and then say "There! Just perfect!" It was funny watching her being so careful to organize things just right. When she was finished she said, "I am so glad I can clean my room by myself. When I was three I would just cry."

Abby's new hair!!!!!!!!!!

Abby is now, for some reason, into ninja turtles. She insists that we call her Leonardo or Leo. As you can see Abby got her hair cut. I wanted to take some pictures of her new look and she wanted to pose with her ninja turtle "book." It is really the jacket cover to the DVD.

Now, about the hair. She has been asking to get her hair cut short "like Dee Dee." (Her cousin Darian) I finally said ok. It is sooooo short and she looks like a big girl. She loves her new hair cut and I am starting to agree with her. We have had no more crying during hair brushing since it got cut!

Lena's Wedding Shower

Darian, Abby and Sophie playing along with the games.

Lena and her beautiful bouquet.

Mom Hyrne reading from the Bible. She always has a short devotional at the Hyrne shower's. This day she reminded us that we are apple of God's eye!

We had an apple theme for Lena's shower. September is apple month and Lena's bridesmaid's dresses are apple color. We played a game where everyone had to guess different types of apples by look and smell. Here is Anna showing one of the apples to Lena. Below is a picture of the size bite Lena took out of an apple. Everyone had to take a bite of an apple. The one closest to the size bite Lena took won. Everyone took really huge bites. As you can see, Lena's was really tiny.

The baby and me:)

Here is my growing belly. I am about 24 weeks pregnant. This was taken last night in Abby's purple room. I am feeling great. I was having some pretty bad nerve pain in my low back and leg. I went to a chiropractor (anxiously) after two months of hurting. After one visit I am pain free! Praise the LORD!

Leif and I had decided on a name but had our minds changed for us through an experience I had at the Beth Moore conference I recently attended. Our son's name will be Luke. We are looking forward to November when he will make his debut as the newest addition the the Leif Hyrne family!

Texas trip

My little travel pro. In May Abby and I went to San Antonio, Texas to visit my cousin Lisa and her family. She has two boys, Preston and Blake.

This is one of the baby Komodo dragons. It was getting close.

At the San Antonio Zoo. Abby's favorite thing was the reptile house and the Komodo dragons.

April 14th 2008

We went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason. Abby thinks every birthday party will be here from now on. It is great fun.

These pictures are from Abby's fourth birthday party in April. Here are the guys goofing around as always:)

It's been awhile...

Holy cow! I haven't been on here since January! So, Devon, this is for you:)

Well, since January our family has moved twice! We moved from Cincinnati to Springboro and then from Springboro to West Chester. We now live in a townhouse which we absolutely love! Abby's room was painted purple and she loves it. We are still in the process of painting our room. It's half done right now. We have had a lot of help moving and painting thanks to friends and, most of all, Anna and Chris.

I started a new job in February in the ER at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown. It is VERY busy there and keeps me hopping. Abby started a new preschool at Middletown Christian which is across the intersection from the hospital. Leif still works from home for the same company and has been traveling out of town almost every week for the past three months.

The biggest news of all is that we are expecting a little baby boy who is due November 21st!!!!!!! We are VERY excited! His room has been painted green and is still in the process of being put together. We can't wait to welcome the next little Hyrne into the family.
